The Alexander Technique is a process of inquiry into the ways that we move and think about movement. This curiosity can awaken the senses and deepen awareness of the body in space, opening the door to new movement possibilities and creative choices. Beginning with a gentle warm-up followed by guided activities involving solo, partner, and/or group movement explorations, you’ll learn Alexander Technique principles in motion.

What to expect:

Class will include a warm-up, guided movement activities, and discussion. Alexander Technique principles will be introduced as well as anatomical information to support learning. Gentle, hands-on feedback may be offered, with consent. All activities are optional and students have agency to modify activities to meet their needs. No dance experience necessary, all are welcome.
